If your business is already established in Cheshire West and Chester , or you are thinking of starting a new venture in the Borough, we can help you to get it right first time by providing you with advice on your responsibilities under current Trading Standards legislation.  Every year the Service helps Cheshire West and Chester businesses cut through the red tape so they are able to run successful compliant businesses. The message to Business is quite simple, Trading Standards really do want to help and believe they are able to contribute to your success. Their door is always open.

What can you expect from Trading Standards?

Our officers are on hand to offer advice and assistance on 01244 973708 Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. We will endeavor to deal with your enquiry within 3 working days.  The advisors can arrange to meet you at your place of business and can also arrange training sessions for you or your employees.

Home authority/primary authority

If your business is based in Cheshire you may wish to develop a ‘Home Authority’ relationship or Primary Authority partnership with us. There are benefits in having such a relationship, for example we can appoint a named Officer to respond to your queries. This Officer can also act as a contact point for other Trading Standard authorities so reducing the need for them to contact you direct when they have a complaint or enquiry about your business.
