Community transport

Throughout the borough, including its rural areas, we promote many different community and voluntary transport schemes. These include services for people with disabilities. All vehicles are equipped with ramps for wheelchair users.

We have a responsibility to improve highway access for disabled people. This includes action such as dropped kerbs and footpaths, laying tactile paving and designated parking bays for disabled people and signs in public car parks.

Your Bus – Accessible Community Transport Across Cheshire West & Chester 

Your Bus is a borough‑wide, door‑to‑door community transport service operated by Changing Lives Together, a charity based in Winsford delivering services in Cheshire for over 20 years, Yourbus is designed to help residents stay connected, independent, and able to reach the places that matter most.

Whether it’s medical appointments, shopping, social activities, community groups, or visiting loved ones, Your Bus provides safe, reliable transport for people who cannot easily use or access conventional public transport. Our ‘lite’ buses ensure they are economical but agile enough to access remote rural areas.

Fully Accessible Fleet

Yourbus operates eight modern minibuses are equipped with:

  • Wheelchair ramps
  • Priority space for mobility aids
  • Trained, supportive drivers
  • Safe, comfortable seating

Your Bus ensures every journey is accessible, dignified, and stress‑free.

Operating Hours

Your Bus runs Monday to Friday, 10am–3pm as standard.

Residents can also private hire the service at very low costs for:

  • Evening events
  • Group outings
  • Community activities

Registration is quick and simple — and can even be completed when boarding the vehicle.

Who Can Use Your Bus?

Your Bus is available to residents who meet any of the following criteria:

  • Aged 80 or over
  • Receive DLA (mobility)
  • Receive PIP
  • Receive Attendance Allowance
  • Have a health condition preventing use of public transport
  • Live in an area with no or limited public transport provision
