Area Programme Boards
Area Programme Boards
Area Programme Boards will be partnership boards including local councillors, public service partners, residents associations, town and parish councils, local residents, business forum and the third sector, e.g. community, faith and voluntary sector, who will develop area action plans for their local community.
The boards will:
- Develop Area Action Plans based on neighbourhood priorities and report to the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) and the Authority
- Ensure service delivery meet the needs of its residents
- Performance manage and evaluate service provision
- Be involved in strategic development
- Shape regeneration initiatives in the area
- Scrutinise the implications of policies and plans
Area Programme Boards will build on existing partnership arrangements including Education Improvement Partnerships and GP Practice clusters. Discussions will be held with a number of partners including Cheshire Constabulary and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service prior to options for area footprints being determined.
Neighbourhood arrangements will 'nestle' within wider arrangements for area working.
