Communities of Cheshire survey
Thousands of questionnaires will soon be landing on door mats across Cheshire inviting residents to take part in an important survey.
The 2008 Communities of Cheshire Survey will ask residents for their views about what it's like to live in their area.
The results will be used to see how well public agencies are doing at delivering the services that matter to residents and to decide what needs to be done differently in the future.
Up to 30,000 people across Cheshire will receive the survey.
Residents are asked to look out for the survey, complete and return it in the prepaid envelope provided. To ensure that findings are a true reflection of public opinion it is important to get as high a response as possible. Results will be available from next spring on the new Unitary Councils' websites.

Accessibility Planning
Cheshire County Council are holding a consultation about accessibility. Accessibility in this case is the ease with which people can reach jobs and essential services, such as healthcare, education, food shops and other destinations that are important to local residents. If people cannot access the key services they need at reasonable cost, in reasonable time and with reasonable ease, their quality of life suffers.
The results of the consultation will help shape a revised strategy that will be taken forward into the new Cheshire West and Chester authority.
