Check your Council Tax balance
What is eCitizen?
- You can now access your Council Tax account online using our eCitizen self service facility. You will only need to register once to be able to manage any or all of your accounts.
- You can then log in at anytime to view your Council Tax account information.
What information can you access using eCitizen?
- Any Council Tax payments you have made
- Any balances outstanding
- Your current instalments due
- Copies of any documentation that we have issued to you
What Services Can You Access Without Registering?
Even if you do not wish to register for eCitizen you can access the following online services:
- Pay your Council Tax online
- Online change of address form
- Council Tax balance enquiry
- Council Tax band search
How do I Register?
- Please complete the online registration form. You will be asked to choose a username and password to use to log in to your eCitizen account.
- During registration you will be able to request a PIN for one or two accounts you want to access. Don't worry if you do not request a PIN at this stage or if you would like access to more accounts. Once you have registered you can log in , go to the 'My Profile' menu and select 'Interactive Services' to request further PINs.
- For security reasons the PIN will be sent to you by post to the correspondence address we have for you on our Council Tax system. When you have received this letter, you will need to log on to your eCitizen account and enter the PIN. You will only need to enter the PIN once to gain access to your account information.
- You will need to request a PIN for each of the accounts
you require access to.
