The Golden Ticket - try something new!
A range of sporting and cultural events are taking place
throughout Cheshire West and Chester as part of a
national Open Weekend - marking two years until the opening of the
Olympic Games in London. The weekend's programme reflects a
wide variety of cultural activities being developed under Cheshire
West and Chester’s 2012 Olympic Legacy Programme, which will be
launched in the autumn. Libraries are launching the
Golden Ticket Reservation Loyalty card on
Friday 23rd July. Collect a Golden Ticket
from your library, borrow 19 items and the 20th item you
can reserve for free! You can now borrow 20 books at one
time! The loyalty card scheme will run until 31st December
2010. Contact your local library for further details.
The Summer Reading Challenge
Space Hop -
Take part in this year's summer reading challenge! Read 6 books
over the summer holidays and collect stickers along the way. Many
libraries are holding special free
events to tie in with the Space Hop, look out for storytimes,
craft sessions and all sorts of other exciting things happening in
a Library near
you.

Join the Library Online
Joining the library is free for all and opens up a vast
world of knowledge, entertainment, culture and information. Once
you become a member you may borrow up to 20 items. This may be up
to 20 books or 8 multimedia items, except computer software,
console games and DVD box sets where the maximum is 2 items.
