The Council's Regulatory Services team now encorporates the
former duties and responsibilities carried out by the Environmental
Health Departments, these include a wide range of subject
areas::
- Protection of the Environment: Air quality
monitoring, Noise pollution, Light, Smoke dust and
odour, Drinking water supplies, Land contamination, Consultation
and Pollution investigation
- Protection and Improvement of Public Health:
Infectious disease control, Drainage and Sewers for and Pest control
- Ensuring food safety: Inspections, Advice, guidance and training, Food borne
illnesses, Registration of premises, Disposal of unsafe
food
- Protecting the Workplace: Advice and
training, Inspections, Investigations, Home safety and
Registration
- Licensing and Public Registers: Licensing of
prescribed premises, Private hire vehicles and drivers,
