Cheshire West and Chester is determined to
improve the energy efficiency of housing in the area.
The National Indicator (NI 186) for energy
efficiency has been identified as one of the priority indicators in
the Local Area Agreement.
The draft financial assistance policy includes
a number of schemes to help residents improve the energy efficiency
of their homes. We are currently consulting with residents,
partners and stakeholders on the details of this.
The Government also provides help through its
Warm Front Scheme.
Warm Front makes homes warmer, healthier and more
energy-efficient. The Warm Front Scheme provides a package of
insulation and heating improvements up to the value of
£3,500
This scheme is available to owner occupiers
and tenants renting privately in receipt of certain qualifying
