Book Crawl
Children aged 0-4 can join the Book Crawl once they have joined
the library
What is the Book Crawl?
The Book Crawl encourages children under 5 to join the library
and to borrow books by rewarding them with stickers and
certificates.
They collect four stickers to receive a certificate. The
certificates are illustrated by famous children’s authors, there
are 10 to collect.
After they collect 10 certificates they will receive a winner’s
certificate and a Bookstart baby blue bear.
Libraries are committed to promoting the idea of early book sharing
and seek to give every child the opportunity to develop a life long
love of books. It is quick and easy to join and it’s free.
In addition most libraries run regular Story and Rhymetimes
for pre-school children. For more information about Bookstart
