What's New
"Never Throw Stones at Your Mother"
As Mothers Day approaches join performers Jo Bell and Joy Winkler for an evening of stories, sayings and poems. They talk about mothers and daughters - the struggles and triumphs, the little battles, the moments of pleasure and the great shared journey. Be prepared for humour, nostalgia and a tear jerker or two! Bring your mother, your daughter, or even one of the menfolk! The event is on Friday 12th March, 7.30pm. Tickets £6 or two for £10. Includes refreshments.
Shamanism and Norse Myth
Local author Clive Tolley gives a taste of his recent book, Shamanism in Norse Myth and Magic. Saturday 20th March, 2pm, tickets £3 (inc. refreshments). Please book at the library.
Adult Craft
There is a programme of adult craft sessions running at Chester Library. Each session costs £3 per person which includes all materials, tuition and refreshments. Please book a place at the library.

Sci-fi and Fantasy Book Club
We are setting up a new reading group for lovers of Sci-fi and Fantasy books. The first meeting is on Saturday 27th February 2-3pm, followed by 27th March and 24th April. The meeting will take place in the meeting room on the first floor of the library, all are welcome. If you'd like any further information please contact the library.

West Cheshire College
In partnership with West Cheshire College, we offer a number of courses in the library. These include taught courses, and include ''Introduction to the Internet'', ''Introduction to email'' and ''Introduction to desktop publishing''. CLAIT (Computer Literacy and Information Technology) and ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)are offered on a flexible, open-learning basis. Students can enrol at any time and book time in the Open Learning Centre at their own convenience during library opening hours, with support available at all times. There are also free taster sessions for beginners on using a computer, and using Internet and email.
