Lines on the Map is a project set up by the 2006 Cheshire Poet
Laureate Andrew Rudd.

Andrew wishes to recruit aspiring
poets from around the county to create an on-line map of the region
- in poetry. The region’s poets have been invited by Andrew
to write about a place in Cheshire and email it to him - with a few
sentences to introduce it - at cheshirepoetlaureate@googlemail.com.
Anyone can have a go, so get writing!
People who send poems must agree to the following:
- The copyright to the poem remains with the author,
but allows Cheshire West and Chester Council permission to publish
it on the ‘Lines on the Map’ website.
- Cheshire West and Chester Council reserves the right
not to publish a particular poem, or to remove any material from
the site without notice, but published poems will normally remain
on the site for a minimum period of one month.
A full list of all the poems featured is available
