In February 2009 Anthony took the decision to retire from a career in Her Majesty's Prison Service as a Governing Governor and to become a Professional Town Crier - a decision that he is pleased to say was the right one.
Anthony has secured numerous contracts with large companies. It has bought him into contact with Royalty, Stars of Stage and Screen.
2008 was a good year as he won his first competition as a Town Crier following many runner up and third places.
Anthony was presented to the Queen when she came to Banbury for the 400th Anniversary of the granting of the towns Charter, when introduced to her in full livery she said “I do not have to ask what you do then
Anthony will represent Banbury and bring with him the History of its World Famous Nursery Rhyme "Ride a Cock Horse to Banbury Cross".
