Bruce Kruger

As former President of the Ontario Guild of Town Criers, Bruce participated in: Welcoming Queen Elizabeth & Prince Phillip to Canada; Acted as Master of Ceremonies and Crier Their Majesties, King Harold V and Queen Sonja of Norway, Cried for Canadian Prime Ministers Paul Martin and Stephen Harper; Acted as Master of Ceremonies for Prime Minister Stoltenberg – Norway; Greeted President of India.

Bruce cries annually for a Ground Hog each winter; welcomed a group of horse riders from Denmark, sang the National Anthems of Canada and United States for hockey games, cry for civic/special ceremonies. About 80 cries/year.

Awards include:

• Third in Worlds
• First - International Queen’s Golden Jubilee Competition
• First, second and third for the Ontario Guild Provincials
• First four times - Holland’s International Tulip Time Festival USA
• Many various awards at local events
• Several prizes for Best Dressed Crier & Best Couple
• Best Ambassador – Bermuda 2009
• His Escort won second for best dressed at Worlds
• Awarded Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and Rotary International Paul
• Harris Fellowship both for Crier Duties
• To receive ten year Guild Award this spring.

His son is official crier. Two daughters are Escorts plus seven of his thirteen grandchildren.
