The economic conditions have been immensely challenging in recent times, and this combined with the change in consumer behaviour and therefore demands on different types of investment, has thrown down an enormous gauntlet for us in Chester. The work led by the Urban Land Institute in November, will go a long way to correcting the balance, and build on what Chester Renaissance has started to accomplish in the last year.
The Chamber has been meeting with managing directors and owners of businesses in the locality of Chester, and throughout the region. Always working on the basis that businesses core objectives are delivering profits, being a good employer, and generating wealth – we have been working with key people such as the Director of Regeneration and the Chief Constable to talk through how we can improve the trading environment and how business can plan with the public sector more effectively.
You can write to the Chamber at info@cepnwchamber.org.uk if you need help, or wish to talk through any issue for the Chamber in Chester or more broadly in the region.
The Chester Chamber of Commerce is a division of the regional West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce established in 1921
