Heritage Lottery Fund Confirms a one year extension for Habitats and Hillforts
The Heritage Lottery Fund have recognised the success of the scheme to date by confirming a one year's extension of Habitats and Hillforts. The scheme will now run until September 2012. This coming year will operate on a slightly lower level than past years as there is a reduced staffing level, but the training and events programme will run as usual and there will be other opportunities to get involved in new projects. Project partners continue to support the scheme.
Year 4 projects are already underway, including a programme of mere and moss restoration within the Delamere area. The 2012 training and events booklet is being drawn together and will be available before christmas.
The Habitats and Hillforts Team were pleased to welcome Susan Williams (Heritage Lottery Fund, North West Chair) to the end of the year 3 event held in September. The picture shows, Ellie Soper, Susan Williams, Colin Slater, Andrew Deadman and Dan Garner. Colin Slater has now left Habitats and Hillforts, the project and its partners would like to thank Colin for all his hard work and wish him every success in his new job.
