Castle Park in Frodsham needs you!
Appeal for volunteers for a variety of projects
8 February 2012
Castle Park in Frodsham needs you! If you have any spare time you could become a volunteer and get involved in worthwhile projects.
During spring this involves some woodland maintenance work cutting back some of the overgrown rhododendron around the American Water Garden.
Councillor Andrew Dawson, Chairman of the Castle Park Trust, said: “This important work will greatly enhance the views of the area, helping making the park a more special place to visit.
“Other events are planned for those who would like to be involved, helping to continuously improve the nature conservation value of the park. Or would you like to help out at events? And young people - are you looking for that much needed work experience?
“Whatever your interest our Friends group is the place for you. No training is necessary and we are happy to accommodate people of all abilities. Why not give it a try!”
Green Space Ranger Stephanie Hefferan said: “This is an exciting time to be involved in the park, helping to shape its future for successive generations.”
If you would like to become involved please contact Steph Hefferan on 01606 271736.
