The Annual Monitoring Report (
AMR
) is an important part of the
council’s Local Development Framework and is a useful source of
information and evidence that follows the Government’s approach to
the planning system of ‘plan, monitor and manage’.
The
AMR
covers the period from 1
April to 31 March and is published in the following December of
each year.
The key elements of each report are:
- To review the progress of the Local
Development Scheme, and in turn the preparation of the Local
Development Framework;
- To assess the use and effectiveness of the
polices included within Local Development Documents.
The 2009
AMR
(PDF, 1.33 Mb), covering the period from 1 April 2008-31 March
2009, is the first to be produced by Cheshire West and Chester
Council. The report structure and content draws on good practice
from the former district authorities of Chester, Ellesmere Port and
Neston, Vale Royal and Cheshire County Council. The 2009 AMR is
accompanied by a Minerals and Waste Technical Report, which can be
viewed on the Minerals and Waste Annual
Monitoring Report webpage.
