Minerals and Waste

Minerals and Waste

The current adopted local plans concerning minerals and waste development in Cheshire West and Chester are the Cheshire Replacement Minerals Local Plan, 1999 and the Cheshire Replacement Waste Local Plan, 2007.

Consultation is currently underway on the the Core Strategy Issues and Options report. This includes issues and options relating to strategic policies for minerals and waste. The detailed policies for minerals and waste development are to be included in subsequent Development Plan Documents.

If you are a stakeholder in the minerals or waste industry, or an agent acting on behalf of a stakeholder, please take the opportunity to have a look at the Issues and Options report and topic papers and provide any comments you may have. If you would like to discuss any of the minerals or waste issues further please contact the Minerals and Waste team at minwaste@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk.
