By Direct Debit
To set up a Direct Debit, call 0300 123 7 022. Please have your bank account details to hand. Alternatively, just complete a Council Tax direct debit mandate (PDF, 137KB) and return to the address below.
By post

Please make cheques payable to Cheshire West and Chester Council. Please do not send post-dated cheques.
At the Post Office
You can pay your Council Tax at your local Post Office, there is no additional transaction fee for this service. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or debit card. When your bill arrives, you will notice a barcode, you should take this bill with you to the Post Office. You can find your local Post Office by using the Post Office's online branch finder service.
At a retail outlet using Pay Point
You can pay your Council Tax at your local retail store that displays a Pay Point sign. Payment can be made by cash only at these locations. When your bill arrives, you will notice a barcode, you should take this bill with you to the Pay Point outlet. You can find your Pay Point outlet by using Paypoint's Agent Locator service.
Internet, telephone banking or standing order
If you would like to set up a standing order or your bank allows you to access your bank account by phone or internet, the details you will need are;
- sort code 08-92-74; and
- account number 61602311.
You will also need to quote your Council Tax account reference. Alternatively, you can ring 0300 123 7 022 and we will send you a Bankers Order Form.
Access Your Council Tax Account Online
- You can now register to access your Council Tax account information online using our eCitizen self service facility. Once registered you will be able to view details of your Council Tax bill including payments made and installments due and see any correspondence we have sent to you.
