The Department for Education is trialling a new service for parents and carers with a child starting secondary school in the autumn.

School Profiles

School Profiles is a new online tool designed to help you find and compare state schools in England. It brings together important information in one place, including:

• information about school policies
• curriculum and extra-curricular activities
• academic performance data

School Profiles is currently in a trial phase and we’re continuing to improve it and add new features over time. We are asking for a small number of parents in this local authority area to test it. This is a great opportunity to help shape the service. 

We’ll be gathering feedback during this period to help improve it before it is made available nationwide.
