Home to School Transport Review

Cheshire West and Chester Council has agreed to the following changes to its Under 16 School Transport Policy and Post 16 Transport Policy.

Summary of changes

The changes also include the introduction of a two year phased withdrawal of subsidised Post 16 transport aligned with an increase in charges for each year:

September 2012

An additional increase in the charge to Post 16 students from £440 - £660.

September 2013

A further increase in the charge to Post 16 students from £660 - £880 or the appropriate none subsidised cost, with the complete withdrawal of subsidy by 2014.
