Applications for admission to Reception Class / Year 7 in September 2012
Before completing your online application, it is very important that you read the information contained in either the Starting School / Transferring to Secondary School in September 2012 booklets.
You will be able to view your offer on your online account on the published offer day. You can also request to receive your offer by email when you complete your online form. You will need to give permission for us to use your email address. This email address will be used for admission purposes only in line with data protection. If you do not grant permission, you will not receive your offer by email but will still be able to view your offer online. There is no facility to provide 'individual' emails at a later stage. All applicants will also receive an offer letter, sent by second class post on the published offer date.
This service will end on the published closing date for applications.
Last year the authority received 80% of online applications for secondary school transfers and 81% for admission to reception class.
Applications for In-Year Admissions
Before completing your application to transfer from one school to another between 1 September 2011 to 31 August 2012, it is very important that you read the information regarding the authority's in-year process.
How do I apply online?
- The person with parental responsibility must submit the application.
- Create an account on the online facility - please ensure to keep note of your password as it will be required for you to make your application and view your account throughout the process.
- You will receive a verification email which will contain a link where you can log in to the online facility and make your application.
- Once you have added your preferences and are happy that your application is complete - *please do not forget to submit your application*.
- You will then receive an email to confirm that your preferences have been submitted.
