Becoming a school governor
To register as a new governor and receive a welcome pack, complete this governors details form (Word, 64KB) and return it to schoolgovernance@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk.
Local Authority Governors are appointed by the Party Whips who meet regularly throughout the academic year. Use this link to download the Cheshire West and Chester Appointments Policy (PDF, 72KB). If you would like to apply to fill a long standing LA Governor vacancy you will need to complete the Application Form (Word, 37KB) and the Code of Conduct Form (PDF, 42KB) and return them both to the School Governance Team. Your application will then be put to the LA Appointments Panel at their next meeting.
