What is available?

Adaptations to enable you to move around your home more easily and to access essential facilities. For example stairlift, level access shower.

Who can get this service?

Any adult or child living in Cheshire West and Chester who has been assessed as eligible under the Fair Access to Care criteria.

Where can they get this service?

The assessment of need will be undertaken by a member of the Cheshire West and Chester Occupational Therapy Service.

How much does it cost?

Depending on the tenure of your property e.g. owner occupier, privately rented, housing trust you may qualify for assistance from the council or your registered social landlord.

Disabled Facilities Grants may be available for owner occupiers or those living in privately rented properties.

Different arrangements apply for tenants of council, housing trusts or housing association properties. Please contact your landlord for further information.

Who provides this service?

The Occupational Therapist will assess you for the necessary and appropriate adaptations and identify appropriate route for funding.
