Children's Trust

West Cheshire Children’s Trust brings together all organisations in the borough that commission or provide services for children, young people and their families.
Their common goal is to improve lives and futures.
The Children’s Trust includes members of the public, voluntary, community and faith sectors, for example Cheshire West and Chester Council, health partners, schools and colleges, GPs, the police, fire service and the voluntary sector.
The full board meets every two months and has an independent chair, Moira Swann.
The Children’s Plan 2011-12 sets out what the Children’s Trust partners are aiming to achieve between now and March 2012.
Their focus is on:
- Prevention, early help, family support and ensuring better health
- Children in care and care leavers
- Children and young people with disabilities and special educational needs
