This service is available to anyone of any age who would like to feel safer and more independent in their own home, for example:
- Older, infirm or disabled people
- Individuals who have been discharged from hospital and require additional support and assistance at home
Personal protection
The alarm unit can be used to raise an alarm call from anywhere in the home by simply pressing the pendant or the large illuminated red button on the unit. Calls are received at our 24 hour monitoring centre, where the appropriate action can be taken.
How does it work?
When the alarm unit is activated, your details are sent to the 24 hour monitoring centre.
Within seconds of pressing the button an operator will answer the call and instantly know your name, where you live and be able to retrieve your details. Contact details are supplied by yourself to the monitoring centre and include your friends, relatives, neighbours and doctor, who along with the emergency services, can be called if assistance is needed.
The alarm unit has a powerful loudspeaker and sensitive microphone, allowing hands free two-way speech between you and the operator.
