Apprenticeship types
Apprenticeships are made up from four core elements:
- Accountancy: NVQ, Technical Certificate, Key Skills
- Business and Administration: NVQ Level 2, Technical Certificate Level 2, Key Skills Application of Number Level 1 and Communication Level 2
- Customer Services: NVQ, Technical Certificate, Key Skills
- IT: NVQ, Employment rights and responsibilities (ERR), Key Skills - Application of Number - Communication Technical Certificate
Key Skills are similar to Maths and English GCSEs however, learning is focused around customer service. For example, you may be asked to analyse data regarding your customers
Accountancy apprenticeship
Duration: 12 months
This qualification is aimed at those who want to have a career in accountancy you will need good numeracy skills and a logical approach to problem solving.
The course includes:
- attending college to study AAT course
- book keeping
- basic costing
- computerised accounting
- working effectively in accounting and finance
- professional ethics.

Business and administration apprenticeship
Duration: 12 months
This qualification is aimed at those who carry out administrative duties with a considerable amount of responsibility and autonomy.
The course includes:
- handling mail
- minute taking
- organising and reporting data
- working effectively with others
- using word processing/spreadsheet software.

Customer services apprenticeship
Duration: 12 months
This qualification is aimed at people who are confident with talking to the public, also you need to be a customer service professional.
The course includes:
- communicate effectively with customers
- give customers a positive impression of the organisation
- process information about customers
- deliver reliable customer service
- resolve customer service problems.

Duration: 12 months
This qualification is aimed at people who want a career in IT and who are comfortable with the constant changes and technological advances in IT.
The course includes:
- using email
- using the internet
- improving productivity using IT
- security of ICT systems
- technical fault diagnosis
