Placements
The Council works with schools and colleges to offer young people a wide range of work placement opportunities and experiences to acquire a positive attitude and the key skills that all employers are looking for. Work experience placements are available for students aged between 14 and 18, who reside within the Cheshire West and Chester boundary and attend Cheshire West and Chester schools or colleges.
Year 10/11 students
Year 10/11 students should apply via their school work placement
co-ordinator. Their application will be processed by Education Business
Plus (EBP) who work with the Council to ensure they get the
type of work placement they are interested in.
Students looking for work experience placements with other
companies should also contact their school work placement
co-ordinator.
Cheshire West and Chester Council managers can also be contacted
directly as some students opt to use a self placement form for a
specific area of work.
College Students
Generally, college students use a self placement form and services engage locally. However, a more strategic approach working with colleges across West Cheshire is being developed.
