Our aim is to:

Protect, investigate and help people to appreciate the archaeology of West Cheshire

What we do:

• Draw up policies for the preservation and investigation of archaeological remains
• Interpret sites and monuments
• Excavate and record sites and buildings
• Analyse archaeological finds
• Maintain the archive of archaeological discoveries in Chester
• Publish technical and popular books and leaflets about our discoveries
• Promote public understanding and enjoyment of archaeology through lectures, displays, children's activities and opportunities for volunteer work and work experience placements
• Joint projects in partnership with other sections of Cheshire West and Chester Council
