If you are aged between 8 - 16 and interested in
archaeology or geology (rocks, minerals or fossils) then the
History Detectives club is for you. Whether you know a little or a
lot, it is an exciting way to unravel the mysteries of our planet
and early history.
We meet at the Grosvenor Museum on a Saturday afternoon 2pm - 4pm,
six times a year. Sessions alternate between arcaheology and
geology sessions and include a mixture of indoor activities and
field trips. Previously the History Detectives have studied Romans,
dinosaurs, volcanoes, and many other exciting things. You will
usually get something to take home with you, as well as an
information-packed book to help you learn more. There is no annual
fee, just a small charge for each meeting to cover materials.
For further information please contact Kate (for geology) on
01244 402015 or Liz (for archaeology) on 01244 402025.
