On 9 December 2013, the Council’s LDF Panel agreed to recommend to Council that the Local Plan be submitted for examination. A Special Meeting of the Council will now be held on 19 December 2013. Council will be invited to formally approve the Local Plan for submission to the Secretary of State.
The Local Plan sets out the vision and strategic policies including the overall level and location of development in the borough for the period 2010 to 2030.
Publication Draft Local Plan consultation
The Publication Draft Local Plan (formerly the Core Strategy) is essentially the final version of the Local Plan that the Council intends to submit to the Secretary of State for examination.
The Council published its Draft Local Plan for an eight week consultation period which ended at 5pm on Friday, 1 November 2013. All representations received during the consultation period can be seen on the consultation portal.
