Smartdrive
Up to a third of all road crashes in any one year
involve someone driving on company business.
- Without doubt, the most dangerous activity we all take part in on a daily basis is the use of the roads.
- The Road Safety Unit can offer you an interesting, practical and enjoyable training course run by expert trainers.
- Smartdrive is a flexible course for companies and organisations and aims to
- Extend driving knowledge, skills and confidence
- Develop tolerance and consideration for other road users
- Reduce driver stress
- Reduce the likelihood of being involved in a crash, collision or other incident on the road.
The two hour classroom/theory workshop session encourages course members to take part in discussions and exercises on defensive driving techniques, hazard awareness and risk perception.
An optional one hour driving assessment can follow the workshop or be taken on a separate date. This is not a test but an enjoyable informal assessment of driving.
