Recycling centres and recycling bank
Household Waste Recycling Centres ( HWRC s) are provided and paid for by residents of Cheshire West and Chester as places where they may deposit and recycle their own household waste.
Commercial or trade waste cannot legally be accepted at the centres.

There are seven Household Waste Recycling Centres in Cheshire West and Chester.

Opening hours
All Household Waste Recycling Centres are open seven days a week throughout the year and only close on Christmas Day.
- March - April (8am - 6pm)
- May - August (8am - 8pm)
- September - October (8am - 6pm) (For safety reasons sites will close earlier if dark)
- November - February (8am - 4pm)

Please note this number is solely for HWRC enquiries and will not be able to help with other enquiries such as refuse and recycling collections.
Permits
Household Waste Permit
You will need a Household Waste Permit, each time you use one of our recycling centres if you are carrying your waste in a van, pickup or commercial type 4x4 or a trailer over 1.5 metres long (internal length).

If you arrive without a permit in one of these vehicles you will be refused entry to the centre.
