Help with using keyboard and mouse
Most users visiting this site will use a mouse to find their way
around, but we understand there are many users who employ a range
of devices.
To make visiting this site easier for those not using a mouse,
we have introduced Access Keys which allow you to access key
sections by using keyboard controls. We've also designed the
site in such a way as to make it easier to use the Tab key to go
through all of the main links. Simply press tab and you will
highlight the links in order, pressing return will then take you to
the selected link.
Using Windows without a Mouse
Most people think that Windows has to be operated with the mouse
and that, if you cannot use a mouse, you cannot use Windows.
This is not the case. In fact not only can Windows be operated
entirely from the keyboard, but doing so can often be faster and
easier than using the mouse.
It is very easy, for example, to open Windows Explorer by
holding down the ' Windows' logo key and pressing ' E'. This is
much quicker than clicking on the ' Start' button, then '
Programs', then ' Accessories' and finally ' Windows
Explorer'.
