I want to pay my Penalty Charge Notice

If you have received a ticket for a parking contravention and wish to pay it, this page tells you what you need to know.

There are two levels of penalty charges depending on the severity of the parking contravention:

  1. Lower penalty charge - £50 (reduced to £25 if paid within 14 days)
  2. Higher penalty charge - £70 (reduced to £35 if paid within 14 days)

If no payment or challenge is made within 28 days, a Notice to Owner (NTO) will be sent to the registered keeper of the vehicle and the full charge will be payable.

Paying online is the quick, safe and convenient way to save you valuable time and ensure that you keep up to date.

For PCNs in Chester

By post (please allow for postal delays): Cheques/Postal Orders to be made payable to 'Cheshire West and Chester'. Please write the Penalty Charge Notice number and your vehicle registration number on the reverse of the cheque. Send your payment together with the slip attached to the PCN to:Cheshire West and Chester Council, Parking Services, PO Box 1442, Chester CH1 2WY.

By telephone: Credit/debit card payments can be made by calling the 24hr payment line 0300 123 7029.  Please ensure you have your card details and Penalty Charge Notice to hand.

For PCNs in Ellesmere Port

In person: Council Offices, 4 Civic Way, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BE

By post (please allow for postal delays) Cheques should be made payable to 'Cheshire West and Chester' and payments should be sent to Financial Services, Council Offices, 4 Civic Way, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BE
