View Roadworks Online Mapping

Cheshire West and Chester Council are responsible for a  roadworks service, which aims to keep road users informed up to three months ahead of planned work.

We are now using the Roadworks Interactive Map a map based system to show all current and proposed roadworks in Cheshire, including what we class as "High Impact Roadworks".  These are roadworks that are likely to cause significant delays in and around the area of the roadworks.

These "High Impact Roadworks" will be highlighted at co-ordination meetings that take place between our Area Engineers and representatives from the Utility Companies. All "High Impact Roadworks" will then be added to the mapping webpages up to 3 months prior to work taking place on site.  The information that will be added will include the dates, roads affected, diversion routes available and traffic management.

Information relating to roadworks contained within the interactive map's webpages are provided by the relevant organisations themselves. No guarantee as to it's accuracy can be given due to emergency work elsewhere, the weather or the late completion of other work resulting in a delay.

A additional webpage called "Road Watch in and around Chester City Centre" has been produced to aid the movement of vehicles and pedestrians during construction work taking place in the City Centre over the next few years.
