If you already have a brown bin for garden waste this will
become your brown bin for non-recyclable household waste.
You will have received a calendar recently informing you of the
last garden waste collection day for your brown bin. You need
to put your bin out on this day so it can be stickered ready to be
used for non-recyclable household waste. You can write your house
number and street on your bin sticker using a permanent marker pen
if you wish.
If you have not previously had a brown bin for garden waste, a
new one should have been delivered with your new blue and green
wheeled bins. If you receive your new bins and do not have a
brown bin or if your current brown bin is damaged please contact us
on 0300 123 7026.
How often will my brown bin be collected?
Your brown bin will be collected weekly - see your collection
calendar enclosed in the information pack for details
Please remember:
- Your bin will be collected from the edge of your property, this
is typically where you currently leave your brown bin for
collection. If necessary we may arrange an alternative collection
point with you.
- Ensure the lid is closed and your bin is out for 7am on your
collection day.
- Extra non-recyclable household waste will not be collected.
Remember your bin will be collected weekly.
- By using the blue recycling bin and green garden bin as much as
possible you can
- minimise the amount of non-recyclable waste you need to dispose
of.
- If you are elderly or disabled and will have difficulty moving
the bin please contact us on 0300 123 7026 to be
