Cheshire West and Chester Council's Enforcement Policy aims to secure an efficient and effective approach to all council regulatory inspection and enforcement functions.

This will improve compliance with legislation whilst minimising the burden on businesses, individuals, organisations, and Cheshire West and Cheshire Council.

This policy was approved by Cheshire West and Chester Executive on 18 March 2009 and applies to all council services that have a responsibility for enforcement.

This followed consultation in line with the Better Regulation Executive Code of Practice between 23 November 2008 and 13 February 2009.
