Complaints about councillors
The Standards Committee is responsible for complaints against Cheshire West and Chester Council members and members of the 92 parish councils in the Cheshire West and Chester area. All elected members, parish councillors and co-opted members must abide by the Code of Conduct.
How to complain about a councillor
If you want to complain about the conduct of a member of Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council or a member of one of the parish or town councils in the borough, you must submit your complaint to the Council’s Monitoring Officer.
You may make your complaint using the Code of Conduct Complaint Form.
Alternatively, you may contact us by letter or e-mail, setting out your complaint and providing any evidence you have to support it.
Further guidance on making a complaint is available from the website of Standards for England.
If you have any queries regarding the conduct of a member or are unsure about the complaints process, please contact the Monitoring Officer before submitting any complaint.
