Cheshire West and Chester Council manages the licensing of both
taxis (hackney carriages) and private hire vehicles.
We have inherited different policies for different areas of
the borough as a result of local government reorganisation in
2009.
We now want to produce clear and consistent standards and
guidelines for taxi and private hire licence holders by harmonising
the way we regulate them.
