Complaints that a Member has breached the Code of Conduct will
be considered by the Standards Committee.
The Standards Committee is responsible for complaints against
Cheshire West and Chester Council members and members of the 92
parish councils in the Cheshire West and Chester area.
The Code of Conduct was adopted by the Council on 15 May 2008.
All elected members, parish councillors and co-opted members must
abide by the Code. The Standards Board for England have produced
guidance on the current Code of Conduct.
The current Code of Conduct is set out in Part 5 of the
Council's Constitution.
If your complaint is not about a Member, for example it is about
an officer or a service provided by the Council, please use the
Council's Complaints Procedure.
How to complain about a councillor
If you want to complain about the conduct of a member of

You may make your complaint using the Code of Conduct Complaint

website of
Standards for England.
If you have any queries regarding the conduct of a member or are
unsure about the complaints process, please contact the Monitoring
