The Code of Conduct sets out the rules which govern the
behaviour of the Council’s members.
The Code also applies to parish and town councillors.
It is set out in Section 18 of the Council’s Constitution.

England's Website.
The Code applies at all times to members when they are acting in
their official capacity. In limited circumstances the code will
apply to a member when they are acting in their private
capacity.
Under the main provisions of the code, councillors must:
- Register certain interests in a public register of
interests
- Declare personal and prejudicial interests at meetings
- Treat others with respect when conducting official council
business
- Not do anything which breaches equality legislation
- Not bully any person
- Not disclose confidential information
- Not prevent anyone who is entitled to information from gaining
access to it
- Not bring their office or authority into disrepute
