The Dog Control Review consultation is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who took part, your feedback is helping the Council to decide what to do next.

The results of the consultation are available here.

The findings of this consultation were discussed by the Council's Cabinet on 15 September. Information about the meeting is available on the Council's website here.

Your feedback supported this discussion at Cabinet, where it was agreed that the the current Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) would be extended with an additional measure to require dogs to be on leads in all Council maintained cemeteries and crematoria.

Have your say on measures to control dogs in the borough

The Council is currently reviewing a wide range of measures covering the control of dogs and encouraging responsible dog ownership and want to know what you think. The review also covers a ban on smoking in enclosed outdoor children's play areas.

We want to hear:

  • your views on the current measures (also known as Public Spaces Protection Orders); and
  • whether these measures should continue to remain in place.
