School travel / bus passes 2019-2020

With the new school year beginning next week, many pupils in west Cheshire will be using home to school transport.

We are aware that not all travel passes have been received and we’d like to reassure parents that all pupils who applied on time should have received confirmation of whether they are eligible for school travel assistance.

if your pass has not arrived yet it will shortly. In the meantime please be assured that drivers will have the names of pupils allocated to their routes and pupils will be able to board transport without their pass.

We're processing hundreds of applications for pupils who applied after the deadline of 19 June and we are working hard to complete them as quickly as possible. So far 90 percent of pupils already registered have been allocated transport provision. In cases where you’ve made a new application for this academic year, you will receive written confirmation in due course.

If you have not received a response to your application the team will be in touch as soon as possible.Travel passes will be sent in the post in the next few weeks for those who have not received them.

For pupils who are able to travel on local bus services and pay a fare until your pass arrives – we will be in contact to advise how to receive a refund for this in due course.

We understand the concern from parents as the new school term gets underway.

We're asking all parents to bear with us over the next few days as we work our way through the high level of applications we have received and make sure you have the detail you need.

You'll appreciate we're receiving such a high level of calls at the moment that we are unable to respond to everyone immediately.

Please be reassured that all bus drivers of contracted school bus services have been advised to allow all children to travel to school until this temporary situation is resolved.

Our School Transport Team is working to respond to your queries as quickly as possible and keep you as informed as possible. The best way to contact is via email:
