Recycling and waste collections
Recycling and waste collections are being affected by the current adverse weather conditions causing delays to the usual service. Whilst the vast majority of the major roads remain accessible, road and footway conditions, on some minor roads, housing estates and in rural areas are poor and are making it difficult for large HGV collection vehicles and their crews to operate safely.
Conditions will be continually assessed on an hourly basis and where necessary adjustments made to collection schedules. Whilst every effort is being made to access those properties scheduled for collection today, the safety of collection teams and the wider public is paramount.
Residents who are due a collection today are advised to leave their containers out for emptying.
