Community toilet scheme and RADAR keys

National Key Scheme (RADAR keys)

The National Key Scheme (often called RADAR keys) offers disabled people independent access to around 7,000 locked public toilets around the country. This scheme means that only people who have these keys can use the accessible toilets, helping to avoid misuse and damage.

The following council owned public toilets are accessed using a RADAR key:

  • Applemarket Street, Northwich
  • Leicester Street, Northwich
  • High Street, Tarporley
  • Brook Street, Neston
  • Mostyn Square, Parkgate
  • Moor Lane, Frodsham
  • Princess Street/Market, Chester
  • The Groves, Chester
  • Union Street (Grosvenor Park), Chester
  • Frodsham Street, Chester (including the Changing Places facility)

The Chester Community Toilet Scheme is a partnership with several businesses in Chester who allow use of their facilities during opening hours without an obligation to purchase.
