Road care in West Cheshire

We have over 1400 miles of roads within Cheshire West and you told us that highways were a priority for you. We are investing £24 Million towards the highways network.

Our area highways teams

Our teams have responsibility for maintenance issues and traffic engineering, for example, speed limits, planning applications, scaffolding and traffic calming.

The teams will try to attend Parish Council meetings when highway issues are discussed. Please contact the area highways team in advance with any Parish Council or public issues.

Out-of-hours emergencies

For emergencies out of hours please call 0300 123 7036.

How we repair potholes

Three techniques are used for permanent repairs.  Where safety is an issue, a temporary patch may be made before the final repair.

The permanent techniques are:

  • cut out and patch
  • infra red heat treatment
  • micro asphalt patching
