Adopted roads

What is an adopted road?

An adopted road is a road which is maintained at public expense by a council. By adopting a road we take ownership of the road and its maintenance.

How to find out if a road is adopted

You can find out by using our Adopted roads gazetteer. The gazetteer contains information on all the roads which are maintained by our highways teams.
