Freedom of Information requests and policies
The main aim of the Freedom of Information Act is to make public authorities more open and transparent. Under the Act you can request almost any information held by the Council.
There are some restrictions on the kind of information that can be supplied, meaning some people will not get the answers they requested. If there are restrictions, you will be told what they are and why they apply to your request. You can challenge any decisions you disagree with.
