Each of the Council's directorates has produced a business plan to outline how they will take forward Cheshire West and Chester's priorities.
The plans provide an overview of the key objectives, priorities and actions which the directorate expects to achieve over the year and will be used to:
- Outline how directorates support the Council in meeting its Corporate Plan pledges.
- Provide a standard by which progress is reviewed formally on a quarterly basis by Members and officers to ensure we stay on track. More frequent progress checks will also be undertaken.
- Provide a foundation for effective business planning by ensuring that necessary actions and resources are in place to deliver against our priorities and that risks are managed effectively
- Ensure that staff, partners and customers are fully aware of the services provided by directorates
The publication of the refreshed Children and Young People’s directorate business plan has been delayed for a short period to enable the Director and his management team to review priorities and key objectives following the positive annual review of improvement undertaken by the Department for Education (DfE) on 19 April. The refreshed version of the business plan will be published as soon as this review is complete.
